Very large imposing antique handmade Dutch silver miniature in the shape of a mill.

The mill is particularly beautiful in shape and decorated with many fine details such as:
Smoothly rotating blades, banner on the mill (with silver hallmark), decorated base with miller and woman, rotary wheel with complete construction at the back, balustrade with fence, open door, etc.

Is nicely fully Dutch assayed and marked with silver hallmarks:
Fineness mark of the old sword which was used from 1906 to 1953 (in several places) and the fineness mark of the lion.
Assay office hallmark Minerva head with the letter A for Amsterdam.
Year stamp H = 1942.
Maker’s mark BRV12 = B.Verhoogt, he worked as a silversmith in Hoorn from 1929 to 1949.

It is a very large miniature with a length of approx. 14.5 cm, a width of 7.7 cm (with the blades).

It is also fairly heavy for a miniature. Weight: 64.00 g.

Considering its age of 79 years, the object is in exceptionally beautiful, intact and complete condition.

This is a striking and particularly attractive object due to its size and beautifully detailed craftmanship.

Mills of this size are extremely rare in this beautiful and especially complete condition and are only rarely offered.
