Centaur walczy z Snake'iem - Barok - Drewno

Mythological figure of a centaur fighting with a snake, the symbol of the devil in Christianity. This old beast figure is carved in chestnut wood with a later custom-made root base for better stability. It is very old and it is in good condition with some restorations in the arm and head of the snake that is barely visible, as shown in the photographs. It belongs to a private collection and it is a symbolic figure of post-baroque Spanish Christianity.
