These are the largest speakers of the Studiocraft ST line. A true Must-Have of the 1980s. The sound is full, tight and warm, according to many one of the best sounding speakers ever made by Bose. They are quite rare and while there are other of the 200st and 300st models that are still widely offered on the internet, collectors keep the 500ST's (or ML5's) to themselves. These speakers are still in good condition. They have some signs of wear but certainly nothing but the foam edges are still like new.
