Tenuta Alzatura it is a property of the Cecchi family.. the best pairing is with lamb or aged pecorino. Great wine to aging at least 30/35 years.
Sagrantino is an autochthonous Umbrian variety. The history of this grape has very distant traces. Over 500 years of history. Originally it was born as a sweet wine and was used to celebrate the Eucharist in Church. It was kept in the sacristy and from here it takes the name of sagrantino.
